I was born and raised on the Texas coast into a family that instilled in me the importance of character and the value of hard work. My father has owned and operated his own construction company my entire life and as a result I was quickly introduced to the construction world. Throughout the course of my childhood and into college I worked my way up from wandering around a job site picking up nails as a kid, to managing our construction process on site into my twenties. I studied Geographic Information Systems at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where I met my wife. After graduating we married and I began my career in the oil and gas industry.
As much as I enjoyed my time in the oil and gas sector and the challenges it provided, I felt the draw back into construction and left oil and gas to join a production home builder in San Antonio. For the next 5 years I was able to expand my industry knowledge in construction, gain a wealth of experience in customer service, and eventually start my own construction company. My family and I went all in on the adventure doing our very best to bolt on quality and honesty to our clients’ ideas and dreams for their home. From simple kitchen remodels to the ground up construction of custom homes, we successfully tackled almost a dozen projects in that time.
After a weekend getaway in Chattanooga, my wife and I began to discuss what life would look like in Tennessee. I was fortunate to connect with A. Perry Homes who at the time was looking for a superintendent to lead their Tennessee construction operations. After my experience on my own, as great as it was, I did have a growing appreciation for being a part of a larger team. I am confident that together, amongst like-minded peers, you can accomplish and deliver greater projects.
I was lucky to marry an incredible woman and have 3 beautiful little girls with her. My family and I enjoy time in the outdoors, which has made our transition to Tennessee a very easy one. You can find me in baseball stadiums catching a game, wading in the water with a rod and reel, in the middle of a ranch hunting wild game, or simply enjoying good company on our back porch.
