I have spent over 28 years in the residential home building industry, specializing in the luxury custom home market. My interest in homebuilding began while taking Architecture classes at Prospect High School, in Mt. Prospect. Due to that positive introduction, I decided to study Architecture at Kansas State University. I learned that both Architects and Construction Managers play a vital role in the home building process, but I quickly realized that my interests fell more in overseeing the building process and working directly with homeowners. Therefor I decided to switch gears and change my area of focus to Construction Management at Illinois State University. ISU afforded me many hands-on experiences that solidified my decision and I graduated with a degree in Construction Management.
Since graduation, much of my success has come from interacting with clients to help them bring their dream home to life and exceed their expectations by paying close attention to even the smallest details. I am an invested member of the team from conception to completion. Seeing the homeowners smile, as they settle into their new home, brings me great satisfaction. There is no question that I chose the right career path all of those years ago.
My wife and I live in Palatine where we raised our three children who are quickly leaving the nest. Our home now is short on children but filled with dogs: Roxy, Gordon, Margot and Louie. When I am not spending time managing new home construction or taking care of our dogs, I enjoy fishing, coaching High School Hockey, High School Lacrosse and playing in the band “Bucket Number Six”. A busy life is the nearest thing to a purposeful life and for that, I am truly grateful.
